Our guest speakers will be Auburn Baseball Coach, Butch Thompson and Former Auburn Football Player and Actor, Thom Gossom
Butch Thompson has just completed his fourth season as Auburn’s head baseball coach. Thompson was previously involved with the Auburn baseball program before his return to the Plains, spending three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from 2006-08. He accepted the head coach role and returned to the Plains in 2015 after seven seasons at Mississippi State where he held both associate head coach and pitching coach positions.
Thom Gossom was the first ever African American walk-on for the Auburn Football team. He was a valuable addition to the team and eventually earned a scholarship. In 1975, he became the first African American athlete to graduate from Auburn University and made sure to inspire the men who came after him to graduate. Nowadays, the athlete turned actor turned business owner turned author turned speaker may be as busy as ever.

Our guest speakers will be Auburn Basketball Coach, Bruce Pearl and Auburn Director of Football Operations and Admin, Brett Whiteside.
In four years as head coach at Auburn, Bruce Pearl has led the Tigers to 70 wins, a 2019 Southeastern Conference Championship and a stellar appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He is responsible for leading the Auburn men's basketball team on the most-historic run in program history. Pearl's impact goes beyond the Tigers and his actions are continually felt in the community. He started AUTLIVE at Auburn in 2015-16 to benefit cancer patients in the fight to beat cancer and has also raised funds for Children’s Harbor in Birmingham.
Brett Whiteside is a key component of the Auburn Tigers Football team, heading up all player related matters. He has been involved with the Auburn football program since 2013. Prior to that, Whiteside worked with head coach Gus Malzahn as Director of Player Personnel at Arkansas State.

Our guest speakers will be Auburn Men's Golf Coach, Nick Clinard, Auburn Women's Golf Coach, Melissa Luellen and former Auburn Athletics Director, David Housel.
Nick Clinard has been head coach of the Auburn men’s golf team for the past ten years and has been in a head coaching role for 18 years in total. The veteran has been crucial for Auburn’s success and adds exceptional experience and knowledge to the program. Thanks to Clinard, Auburn is one of four teams in the nation who have made at least seven-straight NCAA Championship appearances.
Melissa Luellen just finished her fourth season as Auburn's head women's golf coach in 2018-19. Luellen is also a veteran in head coaching, spending 13 years as the head coach at Arizona State, leading the program to an NCAA title in 2009, and then two years prior to that as the head coach at the University of Tulsa. The 2018-19 season proved to be a breakthrough season for Auburn under Luellen. Not only did the team finish as a national semifinalist, they captured two tournament victories: the Battle at the Beach and the Shootout at Shoal Creek.
David Hounsel is a former Director of Athletics for the Auburn Tigers Athletics Department. Hounsel vowed to leave Auburn in a better way than he found it and he did exactly that. He worked in almost every area of the Auburn Athletic Department for 25 years prior to being named Director of Athletics in 1994. Hounsel also had a significant impact on coaches, student-athletes, staff and Auburn men and women. He shared his passion, knowledge and dedication with all those he crossed paths with. The Auburn Touchdown Club are thrilled to be hosting David Hounsel back on the Plains.
